Location: Puget Sound, WA, Start Date: 8/01/2011 - 7/31/2012, Rate: $55-$80/hr (DOE)Responsibilities and Requirements:

Perform structural analysis of primary and secondary structure and systems. Independently develop technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with solutions that are imaginative, thorough, and practicable and consistent with organization objectives.
Work will be performed under general direction and reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Ensure that structure meets all applicable regulatory requirements and Boeing design criteria.
JOB SKILLS: REQUIRES B.S. OR M.S. DEGREE IN ENGINEERING (MECHANICAL, CIVIL OR AERONAUTICAL/AEROSPACE PREFERRED) AND TYPICALLY A MINIMUM OF 8 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN AN ENGINEERING CLASSIFICATION. Prior Company experience required; candidate must have evidence to show they are capable of performing detail stress analysis using BCA approved structures workstation tools and allowables.
CANDIDATE MUST HAVE structures engineering experience with Large / primary aircraft structures (fuselage, wing, empennage, etc.).
CANDIDATE MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: Extensive experience working with large transport Aircraft Stress Analysis/Structural Analysis; Candidate will have commodity experience in one or more of the following areas: Aircraft Fuselage/ Empennage/ Wing/ Composite Structure/ Metallic Structure/ Systems Analysis/ Floors/ Doors/ Landing Gear/ Structural Certification.
Candidate must also have experience with Company durability and damage tolerance methods/tools, ABAQUS/VCCT experience desired.
Good teaming and communication skills required.
Strong mechanical aptitude is desired. Strong communication skills and proficiency with standard PC desktop applications is required.
